CATIA V5 / CAM-POST

Advanced Course

NCI, LMG, CAM-POST

Duration: 5 days – (40 Hrs)

This course is customized for users familiar with the CATIA V5 basic NC manufacturing workbenches (NCI, PMG, SMG).

Course Benefits

  • NC programmers will learn how to use the CATIA V5 / CAM-POST integrated platform to perform 2.5 to multi-axes (AMG) machining applications as well as develop and ultilize CAM-POST post-processors to generate multi-axes NC manufacturing programs
  • NC programmers will be taught to define and manage prismatic and multi-axes machining operations and explore advanced CATIA V5 capabilities such as parameters, transition paths and tool path custimization
  • Clients will learn how to define and manage NC programs dedicated for machining parts designed with Surface or Solid geometry using the CATIA V5 PMG, SMG and AMG workbenches
  • Users will be trained to develop and use CATIA V5 / CAM-POST to create advanced multi-axes NC post-processors
  • Users will become skilled at developing and customizing CAM-POST NC post-processors to efficiently generate and manage NC code output for specific multi-axes machine and controller combinations
Prerequisites:
Participants must be proficient with CATIA V5 as well as Sketcher, Part Design and Assembly Design, PMG, SMG and AMG. Good knowledge of machining practices is essential.
