The complexities involved in manufacturing state of the art aerospace components for aircraft such as the F22 Raptor, the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and theC17 Globemaster are enormous. In order to facilitate their operations, GKN Aerospace Services - St Louis chose a custom configuration of CAM-POST 2001 integrated behind Unigraphics Solutions CAD/CAM software to run various complex machine tools including: 4 and 5-axis machining centers, 5-axis High Velocity Horizontal machine tools, as well as an Henri Line Macbormill (gantry milling machine).
